Dr. Viraj Lavingia has organized a yearly GI oncology conference since 2018, which has facilitated key discussions between over 200 experts from across India regarding the latest developments in the GI malignancy care landscape to help raise national standards. He has served as principal investigator in over 15 major institutional and multi-center trials investigating various next-generation therapeutics for colorectal, gastric, and other GI tract tumors. He has co-authored over a dozen research papers in peer-reviewed medical journals focused on GI oncology. Dr. Lavingia has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring oncology trainees.
