Recently, Shalby Multispecialty Hospital Indore organized a walk-a-thon to make people aware of sepsis. During the event, the staff of Shalby Hospitals was seen with placards and banners with the message, ‘Take Quick Action to Save Life from Sepsis’. This walk-a-thon aimed to create awareness among patients and medical staff about sepsis.

When seriously ill patients do not get treatment according to the protocol, the infection often spreads. This condition is called sepsis. People with weak immunity are more vulnerable to sepsis. According to the report of WHO, sepsis is one of the five leading causes of death in the world. Sepsis Day is celebrated every year on the 13th of September to spread awareness of sepsis and make people aware of the harm caused by it.
